Call for Papers

Important notice .

Due to the Corona Crisis, the conference will be taking a hybrid format. We will create two hubs: one in Berlin and one in Kyoto for those persons who are able and willing to travel to one of the two conference sites. Both hubs will be connected via video conferencing tools. For those who cannot or will not travel to either one of the two hubs, they can participate online.

Call for short papers .

We would be pleased to receive abstracts for short papers. The short papers are limited to seven minute each and should not include more than five power point slides. The abstracts should not exceed one page and include the title of the presentation, the name and addresses of the authors, the name and e-mail address of the corresponding author, the name of the session in which short presentation should be displayed and a short description of the main propositions and results for what the paper will include.

Deadline .

Please note that the deadline for the submission of proposals for short papers is the 1st of September 2020. Please, also note that should your proposal be accepted no honorariums or expenses can be paid to presenters. Submission of a proposal will be understood to indicate a willingness to attend the entire Conference.
The program committee will review the abstracts and inform you about acceptance before Sept. 30. Once your paper has been accepted you need to register for the conference before September 30.
All participants who had already submitted abstracts for posters are automatically transferred to short paper presentations. Due to the video format, poster will not be feasible.

Invited Papers .

For each main session one keynote speaker will introduce the topic and provide a review about the main issues that are paramount to the title of the session. The keynote addresses are followed by three short presentation of 7 minutes each. After the presentations there will be breakout session for small group discussion (on ZOOM) in which further questions and comments are prepared. At the end of each session, a plenary discussion is planned in which participants express their impressions about the papers and raise comments.

At the end of the conference a panel including the keynote speakers will synthesize the various sessions and explore the possibility for common perspectives and interpretations.

Call for Posters

We would be pleased to receive abstracts for poster presentation. The abstracts should not exceed one page and include the title of the presentation, the name and addresses of the authors, the name and e-mail address of the corresponding author, the name of the session in which the poster should be displayed and a short description of the main propositions and results for what the poster will present. The organizer will provide poster boards and fixing material for the poster but you need to bring your ready-to-display posters (Minimum size DIN-A-3; maximum size DIN-A-1).
